An incident occurred in Ratusar village of Churu district of Rajasthan where a security guard of the electricity department killed a Dalit youth on the charge of stealing electric wire.
Kannaiyalal Meghawal, a resident of Ratusar village, was a Dalit youth who was murdered. Kannayalal Meghawal and Gangaram Meghawal were attacked by four security personnel of the Electricity Department on the suspicion that they had stolen a 400 KV high-tension power line.
Kannaiyalal Meghawal, who was seriously injured in the attack, died at a local hospital, while Gangaram is undergoing treatment. The police have registered a case against Sumit Sharma, Govind Sharma, Bharat Singh, and Sanjay Yadav in connection with the incident.
