Sangh Parivar
Sangh Parivar is an umbrella of Hindutva groups led by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a paramilitary organisation based in India, which KB Hedgewar founded in 1925.
RSS is at the center of the Sangh, which sets the priorities and tactics for promoting Hindu nationalist ideals and goals to consolidate the Hindu society and achieve their goal of a Hindu nation, where minorities, especially Muslims and Christians are relegated to second-class citizens.
The Sangh Parivar includes RSS affiliates like Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bajrang Dal, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Durga Vahini, Sewa Bharati, Sewa International, Ekal Vidyalaya, Hindu Yuva Vahini, Sanatan Sanstha, Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram among others.
The Sangh has a long history of inciting and participating in communal violence against India's Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, and Dalits.
