Pani sagar mosques which was totally burnt

NEW DELHI – Maulana Mahmood Madani-led Jamiat Ulema-i-Hind on Monday released the list of 12 mosques, including video and pictures of some, that have been burnt and vandalised by Hindutva mobs in Tripura during the last two weeks. The list is based on the evidence collected by Jamiat’s Fact-Finding Team which toured the BJP-ruled state. The evidence exposes the claim of state’s Director-General of Police who has denied attacks mosques.

“The Tripura DGP called it ‘fake news’… When the police administration and senior officials have such a mindset, anything is possible to happen,” said Maulana Mahmood Madani, National President of Jamiat Ulema-i-Hind.

In a statement issued in New Delhi on Monday, he expressed concern over lack of any punitive action against the perpetrators who burnt and vandalised the mosques and also showed disrespect to Prophet Muhammad in one of the demonstrations in Tripura. “This attitude of the government is detrimental to the unity, tolerance and integrity of the country,” he added.
