Vijayawada: A Dalit youth from Kanchikacherla village in NTR district of Andhra Pradesh was allegedly kidnapped, abused, beaten up and urinated upon by his friend and five others from an upper caste community over a girl. Though the crime was committed on November 1, it came to light on Sunday after the incident sparked a political row with local politicians alleging increase in violent attacks against Dalits and tribals. The police arrested all the six accused and launched a probe. This is the second incident of a youngster being urinated upon in the state this year.
