Vijayawada: A Dalit family was attacked by a local political leader, his son and some other men over land issues in Nagulavellathur of Nellore district.
Chejerla police said that the accused Daupati Ravindra Naidu owns a field around victim Borra Ramaiah’s 2.80 acres of agricultural land as recorded in survey number 100 of the village. Since there was no proper way to reach Naidu’s field, he started forcing Ramaiah to sell his land to him. When the victim denied, Naidu came up with fake documents and claimed that the land was owned by another person and he had sold it to the him.
