Cop asks Dalit youth to drink his urine in police station in Andhra Pradesh, case registered ( The Times Of India )

RAJAHMUNDRY: A Dalit youth in Andhra Pradesh’s East Godavari district was allegedly asked by a police sub-inspector to drink his urine when he asked to quench his thirst in Kadiyam Police Station.

The 23-year-old Dalit from Chagallu was summoned by Kadiyam police in connection with a woman missing case in Chagallu mandal.

The victim namely, Vaddi Venkata Prasad who is a daily wage worker was brought to Kadiyam police station in connection with a woman missing case on 17th of this month and he was allegedly tortured by Kadiyam sub-inspector R.Sivaji. He was admitted to a private hospital as he sustained severe injuries.
After being discharged from the hospital, the victim Dalit youth accused the SI in Kadiyam Police Station of telling him to drink his urine when he asked to drink a glass of water.
