Belagavi: Annappa Nimbal, a close aide of Athani MLA Laxman Savadi and Kagwad MLA Raju Kage was murdered by the miscreants on the road. The incident happened on Wednesday at Khilegavi village of Kagawad taluk.
Nimbal was the president of Prathamik Krishi Pattina Sahakari Sangha, Khilegavi.
Police sources said that Congress leader Annappa Basappa Nimbal, 58, while returning from the temple on Wednesday evening, was brutally hacked to death.
