A Lashkar-e-Taiba militant was killed in an encounter with the J&K police and other security forces in Frassipora area of Pulwama district on Thursday.

This is the first encounter in the Valley after more than four months – the last one took place in Arihal area of the same district on December 1, and one local militant was killed.
