“Awaken society. We won’t attack anyone or cause harm to any Muslim but we must remain vigilant. We will not buy anything from them, nor will we offer any support. That alone will serve as a fitting punishment for them. As long as we continue to buy from them and give them even the smallest of goods, these Bangladeshis will continue to occupy our land. Just as Hindus are being persecuted in Bangladesh, the oppression of Hindus in Jajpur is not far behind. We are Hindus, we are lions, but we are lying dormant in our lion’s den. This lion’s den must not be destroyed. Today, we are bowing down in servitude for their sake. When attacks are happening against Hindus today, you are unable to respond. Right now, you have strength—you have the power to make a fist, to strike with a stick. But the time will come when you grow old—30 or 40 years from now. When your wife returns home after being violated by these Muslims, when your daughter cries out, “Father, today a Muslim has raped me,” Muslim will rape you. you will be too old to do anything. What will you do then?,” the leader said.
