NEW DELHI — The videos of Thursday evening vandalisation of the national capital residence of Asaduddin Owaisi, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Lok Sabha member from Hyderabad, point towards the role of Hindutva supporters in the incident.

The videos prove that “the unknown miscreants” alluded to by Owaisi in his post on X platform are Hindutva supporters who are known for their hate speeches and criminal activities.

A video shows a man pasting a poster on the nameplate of AIMIM chief’s residence. The poster reads “Bharat Mata Ki Jai… Disqualify Asaduddin Owaisi from Parliament…I Stand with Israel”.

After pasting the poster, the man said everyone should do the same. “No MLA, MLC, Parshad should be in India who don’t say ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. Strict action should be taken against him,” the man could be heard as saying in the video.

This individual has been identified by fact-checker Mohammed Zubair as Vijay Hindu. In the past, Vijay also made hate speeches against Muslims while talking to a YouTuber. He had also incited violence against Muslims and was also involved in the 2020 anti-Muslim riots in northeast Delhi.

“Don’t tell me @DelhiPolice don’t know about “Vijay Hindu and Vinod Sharma”.  Their only job is to give hate speeches against Muslim on YouTube vox pop channels. You’ll see them featured in several such propaganda YouTube channels. They were also involved in the Delhi riots,” posted Zubair while sharing some videos of Vijay making hate speeches.
