MANGALURU: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Karnataka Dakshina prantha joint secretary Sharan Pumpwell urged the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and state police to conduct raids on madrassas and mosques to get a clue on the suspect involved in the Rameshwaram Cafe blast.
Sharan told reporters here on Sunday, that the NIA and police should conduct searches in mosques and madrassas, especially those in Bhaktal, in view of reports in a section of media, that the Bengaluru cafe blast suspect offered prayers and changed clothes in a mosque.

He alleged that some madrassas are becoming safe havens for terrorists, and that they are also being trained there.
