Vadodara: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Gujarat wing and its spokesperson questioned the decision of the Vadodara City Primary Education Committee to announce special timings for Muslim students in schools during the month of Ramzan. The VHP leaders demanded the withdrawal of the notification immediately and, if not withdrawn, called for similar relaxation for Hindu students during Shravan and Navratri.

In a Facebook post, Hitendra Rajput, spokesperson of Gujarat VHP, said, “Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai’s government is preparing to implement the UCC, while on the other hand, the Vadodara Education Committee has issued a circular promoting religion-based appeasement under his education department. The government should not forget that opposition to appeasement has been at the core of its power.”

Meanwhile, the VHP, from its official X account, said, “Please verify the authenticity of this circular and have it canceled immediately. Action against those responsible is also necessary. Remember, opposition to appeasement is the reason for BJP’s strong public support. This is #Gujarat, not Pakistan or Bangladesh.”
