PRAYAGRAJ: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has recruited around 69 lakh ‘hitchintaks’ across the country following a mega campaign to connect with Hindu families.
The campaign was launched in November last year with an objective to spread the presence of the organisation and connecting Hindu’s families in every village, block and city. The target was to connect around 61 lakh hitchintaks across the country but the organisation surpassed the goal and made 69 lakh hitchintaks during the drive. These facts were discussed during a two-day meeting of office bearers of VHP’s Kashi and Awadh prant at the VHP camp on Magh Mela campus on Saturday.
VHP leadership reviewed the activities of gauraksha wing, matra-shakti, Bajrang dal’s expansion plan and other sewa ayam (services) at length.
A senior VHP functionary said: “VHP had launched hitchintak campaign in November and received an overwhelming response across the country. The organisation had formed tolis (groups) at block and village level to reach out Hindu families while pointing out the priorities of the organisation.” He said over 5 lakh hitchintak were appointed in Kashi prant itself. During the campaign, volunteers had interacted with all caste and creed of Hindu community and made efforts to connect them for the betterment of country (rastra-hit). Moreover, special focus was to induct retired and senior doctors, engineers, lawyers, sportsmen, celebrities and other professionals into the organisation. The VHP has also prepared a database of people who have connected them with the organisation. Moreover, VHP leaders also discussed to form more tolis in block and village levels under its Bajrang Dal expansion campaign.
