Uttar Pradesh: 4 upper caste men try to ‘strip’ Dalit woman, booked

AGRA: A 38-year-old Dalit woman has alleged that four upper caste men in Aligarh’s Harduaganj “attempted to strip” her and also hurled abuses on her when she asked them to stop beating her two sons on Tuesday.

A dispute over watering of agricultural fields led to the clash between the two sides. Police said an FIR has been filed against the four upper caste men. “When I reached the place, I saw them beating my sons and requested them to let my sons go, but they did not listen. One of them tried to strip me by ripping off my clothes. They also hurled abuses on me,” the victim said.
