Ranchi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is working on ground to mitigate demographic imbalance in certain pockets of the country. National publicity head (Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh) of RSS, Sunil Ambekar said that organisation chief (Sarsangh Chalak) Mohan Bhagwat discussed the Santhal Pargana issue during the three-day national conference of prant pracharak and other office bearers held here since Friday.

Addressing media after the meet, Ambekar said that Sangh has always been a critique of forceful conversions and there are laws in place to deter such efforts. “There are certain elements and groups that remain active in carrying out religious conversions and they must be dealt by law,” he said. RSS highlighted that since the introduction of online membership through the website in 2012, on an average 1.25 lakh new members have been joining the outfit voluntarily every year.

Ambekar said that for general membership, a three-day elementary class is sufficient while for primary classes of seven days and 15 days have been introduced for becoming dedicated worker.
