Congress leader M V Rajeev Gowda who is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Bengaluru North has written to Karnataka Chief Election Commissioner demanding action against returning officer of Malleswaram for allowing Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to hold a political rally on Tuesday without permission.

In the letter, Rajeev Gowda said that V Senthil Kumar, Bengaluru North division karyavahak of the RSS, obtained permission between 5 pm and 8 pm to hold sports events for children Gosh Abhyas and exhibition, but conducted a political rally marking the birth anniversary of RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, instead.
