Lawyers for Democracy released their fact-finding report about the anti-Muslim violence in Tripura, during a press conference in Delhi yesterday. The report detailed mosques, shops and houses damaged by the rioters. The report demanded the govt to constitute an enquiry committee; police to file separate FIRs for each incident; compensation for all losses; govt to rebuild damaged religious places; removal of police officers who did not take action to stop the rioters; action against persons and organisations which raised slogans against the Prophet; legal action against people misusing social media to vitiate the communal situation in the state.
