President of the Upleta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vinod Gheravda, was arrested on Friday from Rajkot district’s Upleta town after he was booked for allegedly uploading a video critical of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on social media.

Based on a complaint filed by Kaushal Parmar, RSS karyavah (president) of Upleta taluka, the police booked Gheravda — in his sixties — at 4.45 pm on Friday. “Vinod Gheravda posted a video, which can harm the prestige of Dr Keshav Hedgewar, the founder of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, and RSS volunteers,” the FIR quoted Parmar as having stated in his complaint.
