Sometimes violence is necessary. I was curious to see the news with this title on the front page of today’s Dainik Navbharat, so I am trying to write this post after reading the entire news. Former RSS Sarkaryavah Bhaiyyaji Joshi said on Thursday, January 23, at the inauguration ceremony of the Hindu Spiritual Service Fair held at the Gujarat University grounds that “violence is sometimes necessary to protect the idea of non-violence.” He stressed that India will have to take everyone along on the path of peace. He further said that “Hindus are always committed to protecting their religion. To protect our religion, we will have to do those things which others will call Adharma. Our ancestors also did such things. Referring to the Mahabharata war, he said that the Pandavas ignored the rules of war to end Adharma. It cannot be denied that the element of non-violence is inherent in Hinduism, but sometimes we have to resort to violence to protect the idea of non-violence. Otherwise, the idea of non-violence will never be safe.”
On this speech, a senior journalist stopped at calling them retards in his Facebook post without naming them. I don’t think there are retards in the RSS. They are intelligent enough. They have considered Hitler and Mussolini as their role models and have been working diligently in that direction for the last 100 years. Their strength has not increased just like that. They have changed themselves a lot in the last 100 years according to the circumstances. Otherwise, the organisation started by Maharashtrian Brahmins has worked to make inroads in all the communities of India (except the minority community). Otherwise, what other reason could there be for ruling the world’s largest democracy today? And by calling them unintelligent, you are making the mistake of giving them a free hand.
A meeting was held in Wardha from 11 to 15 March 1948 after the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi. Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Acharya Vinoba Bhave, Acharya Kripalani, Acharya Dada Dharmadhikari, Tukdoji Maharaj, Jayaprakash Narayan, Kakasaheb Kalekar etc. were present in the meeting. And a book titled “Now that Bapu is no longer among us, what should we do next?” has been edited by the former Governor of West Bengal, Shri Gopalkrishna Gandhi, based on the minutes of that meeting. In which, from page number 176 to 178, what did Acharya Vinoba Bhave say about the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh? I am going to give this. Acharya Vinoba Bhave said that “I belong to the province in which RSS was born. I have left my caste. But still I cannot forget that I belong to the same caste that killed Mahatma Gandhi. I have been living in Pavnar for years. Four-five people have been arrested there too. They are suspected of having some kind of connection with Bapu’s murder. Arrests were made in Wardha, Nagpur. Arrests are being made at many places. This organization has been spread on such a large scale with great efficiency. Its roots have reached very deep. This organization is of a true fascist type. The intelligence of Maharashtra has been mainly used in it. Whether it works in Punjab or Madras. In all the provinces, the main operators among its commanders have often been Maharashtrians and often Brahmins. And the current Sangh Pramukh Shri. Madhav Sadashiv Golwalkar is also a Maharashtrian Brahmin. The people of this organization do not take others into confidence. Gandhiji’s rule It was of truth. It seems that their rule should be of untruth. This untruth is a part of their technique – their system – and their philosophy.”
In a religious newspaper, I read an article or speech of their leader Golwalkar. It said that “Arjun is the best role model of Hinduism. He had respect and love for his teachers. He bowed to them and killed them. The one who can commit such a murder is a man of steady wisdom. They are no less worshippers of the Gita than me. They must be reading the Gita with as much devotion as I have. If a man can kill his respected teachers, then he is a man of steady wisdom.” This is the meaning of their Gita. The poor Gita is used in this way. It means that this is not just a group of rioters. This is a group of philosophers. They have a philosophy and they work with determination according to it. They also have their own special method of interpreting religious texts.
There has always been a conflict between the working style of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and ours. When we used to go to jail, their policy was to join the army and police. Wherever there was a possibility of a fight between Hindus and Muslims, they would reach there. The government of that time thought all these things were beneficial to them. That is why it also encouraged them. We are facing the consequences.
