At a ‘panchayat’ organised in Northeast Delhi’s Karawal Nagar, Sunday, members of the United Hindu Front called for the creation of a “Hindu Rashtra” and action against those behind “love jihad”.

Police said the organisers have been booked for not taking permission for holding the event. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northeast) Joy Tirkey said, “A case has been registered under IPC section 188 against the organisers. They did not take permission from us for the event.”

Addressing those gathered, BJP member and United Hindu Front international working president Jai Bhagwan Goyal, said: “Our aim is to make Northeast Delhi the first ever Hindu rashtra district.”

Goyal said before the RSS turns 100 years old in 2025, its aim is to achieve the dream of making the country a Hindu Rashtra.

Goyal further asked residents of Karawal Nagar to refrain from selling their houses and doing business with Muslims. “We are forming units at the panchayat and Vidhan Sabha level to protect Hindus,” he added.
