Newly elected BJP MLA from Mustafabad, Mohan Singh Bisht, has announced plans to “remove encroachments” and bring the “Yogi Model” to Delhi. He also spoke about renaming Mustafabad and addressing water and infrastructure issues in the area.
“Encroachment has increased a lot. We will remove it. Yogi Adityanath has done excellent work in UP, and we will follow the Yogi model in Delhi as well. Bulldozers will be used to clear encroachments that are blocking development,” Bisht said.
He also criticized the AAP government, accusing it of not taking action on a water supply agreement with the UP government.
“There was an agreement with the UP government on water supply, but the Kejriwal government did not take any initiative. We will restart it,” he said.
Regarding the cleaning of the Yamuna River, he said, “a parallel drain will be built along the Yamuna to direct waste into the drain instead of the river.
Bisht also reaffirmed his earlier promise to rename Mustafabad.
“I had said that if I win, I will rename Mustafabad as ‘Shiv Puri’ or ‘Shiv Vihar’… and I will do it,” he said.
He added, “there is no drinking water, roads, schools, parks, or transport facilities in many places. I will work to improve these things.”
