Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat will visit poll bound Haryana this weekend to take part in Sangh’s key tribal outreach event which will bring together nearly 80 Scheduled Tribe groups from across the country.

Top Sangh sources said the three-day event between September 20 and 22 at Haryana’s Samalkha would draw over 2000 participants from across India.

The choice of the venue is significant given the fact that the BJP is battling a two term anti-incumbency in the state which will vote on October 5.

Bhagwat, who was in the National Capital on Tuesday for a book release event, is likely to attend the tribal outreach event on September 21.

Pramod Pethkar, the national spokesperson for Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, RSS’ frontal organisation that works among tribals, today said the national level workers’ meeting of the Ashram had been planned at Haryana’s Samalkha this time.
