Missing Muslim youth’s body found in Mewat, sister alleges beating death, calls for justice ( Maktoob Media )

The body of a 28-year-old Muslim man named Aamir Khan, who had been missing since August 19, was found in a field in Lakhuwas village in Haryana’s Sohna district on Monday.

Aamir Khan worked as an auto driver. His family said that he had been badly beaten, as there were many marks of injuries on his body.

Aamir’s family found out from other auto drivers that he had taken some passengers to Mewat on 19 August. Days before, Mewat witnessed a communal violence which was broke out during a provocative rally by Hindutva militant groups Bajrang Dal and VHP.

Local villagers found his dead body on Monday and informed the police. The body was wrapped in a bedsheet and was found not far from his damaged auto.

The injuries on his body, especially his head, made family members raise concerns that he had been beaten to death.
