New Delhi [India], March 12 (ANI): Union Minister and West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar on Wednesday alleged against the West Bengal government, claiming that “Land Jihad” is being carried out openly in North and South 24 Parganas.
He accused Muslim leaders of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) of forcing people to give up their land in exchange for a meager sum of money.
Majumdar went on to label the government as “anti-Hindu” and alleged that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is seeking to create polarisation in the state.
“One after the other, similar incidents are taking place across the state. Land Jihad is being carried out openly in North and South 24 Parganas. Muslim leaders of the TMC are compelling people to give up their land in return for a small amount of money. This government is an anti-Hindu government… Mamata Banerjee wants polarisation,” Majumdar told ANI.
Meanwhile, Majumdar also refrained from commenting on Suvendu Adhikari’s controversial statement, saying he would first speak to the Leader of the Opposition to understand the context.
