In Madhya Pradesh’s Khandwa, a hate-filled campaign against supporters of Palestine was led by Hindu right-wing leader Ashok Paliwal. In a viral video, Paliwal is heard describing those who support Palestine as “anti-nationals” and inciting a Hindu group to attack and kill them.
On Thursday, members of Hindu right-wing outfits, brandishing Israeli flags, took to the streets of Khandwa, threatening violence against anyone expressing solidarity with Palestine.
This hate campaign followed Muharram processions where Muslims waved Palestine flags. Police in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Kashmir arrested several Muslim youths under sections including 197 BNS (previously IPC 153) for waving Palestine flags.
