Soon after right wing organisations decided to put up posters of Veer Savarkar across Karnataka, Hindu Sena chief Pramod Muthalik warned that members of his organisation will chop off the hands of people who try to put down the Hindutva ideologue’s posters.

Muthalik, the chief of the Rashtriya Hindu Sena, the parent organisation of the Sri Ram Sena, said, “If you touch the poster we have put up (Savarkar), we will chop your hands off and throw it away. It’s a warning.”

The Hindu Sena leader said they will ensure that Savarkar’s contributions and proud works were highlighted in every nook and corner.

“He was not a person who was against Muslims, he was against the British. If any Muslim or a Congress worker touches the picture or banner of Savarkar that we have put up, we will chop off their hands. This is a warning. He has dedicated his 23 years to fighting for the nation.”

Rakesh Ramamurthy, President of Hindu Mahasabha Gauri Ganesha Seva Samiti, said, “As we have included Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Veer Savarkar’s photos on the Ganesh Chaturthi festival flex, a few miscreants are opposing it but we aren’t bothered about it.
