On the University of California, Berkeley campus, Jai Sai Deepak, a Hindu nationalist leader from India, rallied a crowd with chants of “jai shri ram” to confront a group of anti-Hindutva and Sikh protesters who were demonstrating against his event.
The event was organized by Hindu YUVA, a student group affiliated with Hindu Swayamsewak Sangh, the US wing of India’s parliamentary organization, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on March 3.
