CHANDIGARH: In a shocking incident, two youths allegedly murdered a minor girl after raping her in a village falling under Sirsa Sadar police station on Saturday evening. The accused also hanged the body to make it look like a suicide case.
According to information, the incident took place on Saturday evening when the parents of the girl were away from the house and the brother was at their shop.
Two youths, who are allegedly known to the family, approached the victim. Preliminary investigations revealed that one of the accused entered the house on the pretext of relieving himself.
A case was registered on the statement of the victim’s father, who claimed to be the first to have noticed the incident. In his statement to police, the girl’s father said that he had spotted the girl’s body hanging and the tea pan was there on the stove.
Police have sent the body to hospital for post-mortem to ascertain the exact cause of death as well confirmation of rapl. “Investigations have begun. Our teams are conducting raids to round up the accused. At the same time we are also waiting for the report of crime experts who have reconstructed the scene of crime as well. We are working on other theories as well,” said cops.
