Hisar: Seven days after a 50-year-old Dalit worker Hansraj was lynched, the victim’s family finally cremated the body.

The family had been seeking more arrests in the murder and had refused to carry out the last rites of the resident of Sisai Kalirawan village near Hansia. The breakthrough came after the committe formed to seek justcie for the deceased — including lawyers Rajat Kalsan, Ajay Bhatla, Deepak Saini, Krishna Majra, and family members of Hansraj — met Hansi superintendent of police Nikita Gehlot in her office. Talks lasted for about an hour, after which a consensus was reached regarding the demands.
