Four suspected Bajrang Dal activists held in ‘moral policing ‘ incident in Puttur (News Drum)

Mangaluru: Four persons suspected to be Bajrang Dal activists have been arrested in connection with the assault of a Muslim youth who was found in the company of a Hindu girl at Puttur in Dakshina Kannada district on Wednesday.

The arrested have been identified as S Pradeep (19), a resident of Olamogru village, Dinesh Gowda (25) from Kedambadi, Nishant Kumar (19) from Guthumane and Prajwal (23), a resident of Aryapu village, police sources said. Mohammed Farish (18), a resident of Mareel Kadumane, was attacked by a group of men when he was drinking juice at a parlour with a Hindu girl who is his classmate. Farish received deep bruises on his body following the vicious assault. Farish and the Hindu girl are students of Kabaka government college in Puttur.
