Jaipur: The Rajasthan Protection from Lynching Bill, 2019 was passed from the State Assembly but has not yet been approved by the President. A recent mob lynching incident in Alwar has yet again highlighted the need of the law to deal with such incidents. Chiranjilal, 50, a vegetable vendor, was lynched in Rambas village of Govindgarh police station area in Alwar district on suspicion of theft. In Rajasthan, more than a dozen people like Pehlu Khan, Umar Khan, Krishna Valmiki, Adarsh Tapdia have been victims of mob lynching. However, most such incidents happened in Alwar
