Muslims in a written complaint to police alleged over 100 far-right Hindu extremists of pelting stones at the Milad-Un-Nabi procession and ransacking and looting hotels, restaurants owned by Muslims.
They alleged, in other parts of the city, several Muslims and their properties, vehicles were either attacked or set on fire. In some places, the aggressive crowd tried to enter the Muslim localities with an intention to harm.
In a four-page complaint, they alleged that it was a pre-planned attack to trigger riot. “We have submitted the CCTV footage of the incident and gave a list of names of the assailants who wanted to fuel the riot,” said Asifuallah, Mandsaur Qazi.
