At a meeting organised by the VHP-Durga Bahini-Matri Shakti to commemorate the 300th birth anniversary of Ahilyabai Holkar, Durga Vahini leader Prajnya Mahala spread false and inflammatory claims about “love jihad.” She alleged that Muslims and Christians organised Dandiya events as part of a conspiracy, citing an unspecified news report to falsely link an increase in abortions after Navratri to “love jihad.” She further claims that Hindu girls are initially treated well but later end up in 36 pieces in a fridge or as food for birds and animals.
