NEW DELHI – Six people were seriously injured after communal clashes broke out when a Durga puja immersion procession was passing by a mosque amid blaring music in the Baldirai area of Sultanpur on Monday.
Meanwhile, video of a police official has surfaced on social media in which he heard saying, “Chun chun ke maaruga, mitti me miladunga and unke ghar bulldozer chalaunga.” He is apparently referring to those who have dared to disturb the procession. (Whoever has dared to disturb the Durga mata procession, I promise you that we will ground them (mitti me mila dunga) and will run bulldozer on their houses….unko chun chun ke marunga,” said the police official amidst chant of ‘Jai Shri Ram’.
