The Dalit villagers in the Malligere village in Karnataka have alleged that the local administration discriminated against them by not releasing water only to the colony where they reside. The colony houses over 300 Dalit families.

The locals said water was supplied to the entire village except for their colony.

Panchayat Development Officers (PDO) have denied the allegations and said the water supply has been restored.
