A Dalit woman was beaten with slippers and abused by an upper-caste man when she entered his property to get her cow back. The animal had strayed inside the man’s land in Karnataka’s Koppal district.
The woman, identified as Shobamma Harijan, entered one Amrish Kumbar’s land to bring her straying cow back. This infuriated Kumbar, who caught the cow and tied it near his home.
