Bijnor: Clashes erupted between two communities after a dalit boy joined a group of youngsters as they were dancing in their street during Holi festivities, leaving 15 individuals injured under Najibabad police station area at Mukhtiyarpur village in Bijnor district on Monday.
The group verbally abused the dalit boy, who returned to his locality and narrated his ordeal to his friends.
Enraged family members and friends assembled and reached the spot to inquire about the matter. This sparked a confrontation with at least 15 persons from both sides sustaining injuries, police said. Police intervened, registering cases against around a dozen individuals from both sides.
