Two groups clashed violently after a Tipu Sultan procession. The dispute, sparked by fireworks, escalated into stone-pelting and the burning of vehicles and shops. Police dispersed the crowds using tear gas and lathi-charge, arrested 18 people, and filed FIRs against 70-80 unidentified individuals. Additional police forces have been deployed to control the situation.
