Bihar: Saffron Flag Planted on Muzaffarpur Mosque on Ram Navami

New Delhi: On Ram Navami (April 10), a man in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur reportedly climbed on top of a mosque and placed a saffron flag on the structure, while others part of the same Hindu procession as him cheered and egged him on. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

A group of Hindus took out a procession in front of the Dak Bangla Masjid in Mohammadpur village on Ram Navami, NDTV reported.

Across several states, processions using loudspeakers went through Muslim-dominated areas on Ram Navami, leading to communal violence in at least four states. In Gujarat’s Anand, police found an unidentified body after the violence.

According to NDTV, SSP Muzaffarpur Jayant Kant said that an FIR has been filed on the incident, but no arrests have been made so far.
