On Wednesday, ‘Pathaan’, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, released in theatres and activists of the Bajrang Dal staged protests outside cinema halls in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

Several videos from outside theatres have surfaced where protestors are seen cancelling shows and not allowing the audience to enter the theatres.

In one of the videos, as a sign of protest, a group of Bajrang Dal activists were seen sitting outside the INOX theatre in Sapna Sangeeta mall in Indore and played the Hanuman Chalisa on loudspeaker and chanted it together.

Bajrang Dal activists also staged a protest outside Kastur talkies in Indore and shouted slogans while carrying saffron scarves along with them. Ever since Pathaan’s Besharam Rang song was released with Deepika Padukone donning a “saffron bikini” in it, it drew a lot of protests.

Shah Rukh Khan is all set to storm the theatres after almost 4 years with his movie ‘Pathaan’ which is currently in news. The film was released on Wednesday, 25 January.

Ashok Rawal said, “It’s a good thing that the Censor Board has removed the obscene scenes and words from the film after Bajrang Dal protested it. I congratulate the activists and the Hindu community who are fighting for the protection of religion and culture.”

The film has smashed all the records with respect to advance bookings. Along with Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, Ashutosh Rana will be seen in an important roles.
