By Nalini Sharma: The Allahabad High Court on Wednesday dismissed the plea against the acquittal of LK Advani, Uma Bharti, MM Joshi, Kalyan Singh and others in the Babri Masjid demolition case. A bench of Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Saroj Yadav dismissed the plea filed by two Muslim residents of Ayodhya.

As many as 32 people were accused in the Babri demolition case, including top BJP leaders LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Sadhvi Ritambhara, Nritya Gopal Das, president of the existing Ram Mandir Trust, Uma Bharti and BJP leader Vinay Singh, who led the Ram temple movement.

The petition in the high court challenged a special CBI court’s order which had acquitted the accused in the case.
