Ajmer: Numerous people, including Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) members, gathered at Bijaynagar police station in Beawar district Monday to demand strict action against persons from a particular community who allegedly sexually abused schoolgoing girls.

Bijaynagar SHO Karan Singh said police registered three cases based on complaints received and detained seven individuals. Further investigation is ongoing, he said.

Masuda deputy SP Sajjan Singh, along with four police station house officers and their teams, was present at the Bijaynagar police station premises to talk with the protesters.

Former Gulabpura municipality chief Dhanraj Gurjar termed the incident as a disgrace to humanity and part of an international conspiracy. He demanded the strictest action from the authorities and revelation of all the details of the case.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Dhanraj Kawadia said the administration had been given an ultimatum till 6pm to take action. After this, a community meeting will be convened to decide on further action, he said.
