Hyderabad: The special court for trial of MP and MLA cases in Nampally on Friday acquitted BJP legislator T. Raja Singh in five cases related to alleged hate speeches and Sri Rama Navami rally. The cases were registered at different police stations including at Mangalhat and Shahinayathgunj.
This acquittal comes shortly after Meta, parent company of Facebook and Instagram, removed two Facebook groups and three Instagram accounts linked to Singh. This action followed a report by the India Hate Lab, which documented 32 instances of hate speech by Singh, primarily against the religious communities.
Moreover, cases were filed against him for taking out a Sri Rama Navami rally in Hyderabad, which authorities alleged was conducted without proper permissions.
