BJP MLA from Telangana T Raja Singh on Sunday expressed ‘concern’ about a demographic change taking place in Goa. Claiming Muslim population was increasing in the coastal state, he said it was a matter that needed ‘thoughtful consideration’.

The saffron party leader, known for his controversial statements, also tore a Bangladesh flag on stage, and said “Whoever comes up against India will suffer the same fate,” The Indian Express reported.

Singh referred to the neighbouring country alleging that Hindus there were being killed and their shops looted. “They are appealing for help. I want to say that ‘Bajrangi’ is ready to fight for the protection of Hindus in Bangladesh. Modi ji, just open the gates for 15 minutes and we will do it,” he said.

Pulling out a sword during his 48-minute address, Singh asserted that the weapon was not meant to be sheathed and should be in the home of every Hindu.

He also appealed to Christians to join hands with Hindus for the united fight against “love jihad” which is affecting both religions.
