Mangaluru, Nov 16: The assistant commissioner’s (AC) Court in the city has dismissed a petition filed by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) concerning the land dispute of the Malali mosque.

It was earlier stated that the land where the mosque is located was recorded as revenue land in RTC column 9. Following recent controversies involving Wakf properties across Karnataka, questions were raised about the ownership of the land on which the Malali Mosque stands. In its petition, the VHP’s lawyer argued that the existing records should not be altered until the ongoing civil court case is resolved.
