NEW DELHI: Jihadi elements in Bharat have perpetually been attacking Hindu society, their festivals and temples. Releasing a list of these attacks, Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), said that these incidents prove that Jihadis are offenders and aggressors and thus cannot play any victim card on Tuesday. VHP also lashed out at political parties over allegedly “indirectly supportive of these activities.”

Warning that, unlike in the past, today’s Hindu community is unified and prepared to respond to any provocations, albeit within constitutional boundaries, Surendra Jain, joint general secretary, VHP, also hit out at the threats of killing and slaughtering that many Maulanas and Muslim clerics and leaders of Bharat are giving to the Hindu society Jain said: “Similar threats were being given in 1946 CE. Do these Maulanas and Muslim clerics and leaders mean to repeat the ‘Direct Action Day’ massacre in Bharat? They should remember that this is not 1947. Today Hindus are awakened and united. They can respond to every challenge by staying within the constitutional limits. But today the double character and split personality of all these leaders has been exposed.”

Stating that these attacks are not restricted to India, but “these jihadi attacks and atrocities is global,” Jain cited the attacks of Hamas or Bangladeshi jihadis, “whether it is the massacre of Hindus in Kashmir or the attacks on Hindus in Bengal, the brutal dance of cruelty and lust is very much visible in all these. This character of theirs has been troubling humanity for 1400 years,” as he called upon the civilized world to join forces to defeat and neutralise the Jihadi mindset.

VHP has shared a report documenting over 300 incidents since January 2023. This report, released following the Hindu festival of Chhath Puja 2024, highlights instances of violence and alleged provocations by what Jain calls “Jihadi elements” in India. He claims these acts indicate an ongoing assault on Hindu society, with attackers leveraging religious differences to incite division.
