A man named Prakash Kumar Manji attacked several Muslims in the city of Varanasi on October 17. Five Muslim men were injured in the case. The incident took place in Revadi Talab village of Bhelupur police station in Varanasi where he stood by the road with a “sharp spade” in his hands and “intentionally targeted” people “based on their Muslim Identity”. Although Manji has been arrested now, Muslim residents are still traumatized after whatever happened.

A video of the incident is making rounds on social media platforms in which Prakash Manjhi is standing in the middle of the road to attack and harm Muslim passengers. He can be spotted in half pants and a long T-shirt, attacking two Muslim men on a bike. Some nearby Muslim vendors were also targeted by him.

Injured Sent To ‘Trauma Center’

Around three injured Muslim men were sent for first aid where they received immediate treatment and were discharged but two were referred to the Trauma centre of BHU to attain treatment, because of “emergency health conditions”.

In another online clip, the men can be seen injured and numb with blood spots on their Kurta, and wounds over their heads and bodies.

Some locals thrashed Manjhi and tried to stop him but failed to control the situation.
