DAYS AFTER the Firozabad police registered an FIR in connection with the violence that erupted during a protest over the death of a 27-year-old Dalit man while undergoing medical treatment inside the district jail, some local residents have alleged that innocent persons have been booked in the case.

Superintendent of Police, Firozabad, Saurabh Dixit has formed a team, headed by the Additional Superintendent of Police, to investigate allegations of “false accusations” in the FIR.
