Madhya Pradesh government on Saturday invoked the draconian National Security Act (NSA) against two Muslim men accused of involvement in an alleged cow slaughter, and transferred the district collector and superintendent of police.
Seoni police produced four accused in the local court, which sent Santosh Kavreti and Ramdas Uike in judicial custody and remanded Shadab Khan and Wahid Khan in police custody for three days.
NSA was invoked against Shadab and Wahid, police officials said to PTI news agency.
One more accused, Irfan Mohammad , was arrested on Saturday.

The additional director general of police’s Criminal Investigation Department will investigate the case, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav wrote on X.
CM also said that Seoni collector Kshitij Singhal and SP Rakesh Kumar Singh had been transferred.
