NEW DELHI: The Prayagraj Development Authority began the demolition process of the house belonging to Zainab Fatima, the wife of Atiq Ahmed’s brother, Ashraf Hashmi.
The Zonal officer of the Prayagraj Development Authority, said to ANI, “This building is constructed under the name Zeeshan Fatima. This is constructed on Waqf land. They could not prove their ownership. Hence, the order to demolish it was passed.”
Ashraf was killed alongside Atiq Ahmad in April of the previous year.
According to Deepak Bhuker, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (City), the police have been gathering information on the illegal and benami properties of five additional members of the late Atiq Ahmad’s gang.
